Panning for Liquidity: Axcap Ventures' Potential Modern-Day Gold Rush
Inside Axcap Ventures’ high-risk, high-reward plan to dominate the gold junior sector with liquidity, leverage, and relentless execution.

“Article disseminated on behalf of Axcap Ventures Inc"
From the opening seconds of Doug Casey’s Experts Roundtable, it’s clear Axcap Ventures (OTC: GARLF | CSE: AXCP) isn’t just another junior mining company fighting for attention. Co-founders Mario Vetro and Blake McLaughlin aren’t trying to reinvent geology—they’re reinventing how capital, marketing, and structure intersect in a broken junior mining market. As host Matt Smith notes, "You can blow on some of these stocks and they double," yet liquidity remains a structural failure across the sector. AXCP was designed with a simple but aggressive thesis: in a capital-starved market, value isn’t just about rocks—it’s about volume, optionality, and visibility. This is not a drill-play story; it’s a business model story.
Buy Gold for Pennies, Build Liquidity for Millions [02:17–06:35]
AXCP’s strategy begins with asset selection. The founders targeted ounces in the ground for less than $5—projects in politically stable jurisdictions with real scale but no spotlight. But buying undervalued ounces is just the start. What sets AXCP apart is how it aims to leverage retail interest and volume. Most juniors collapse under the weight of illiquidity. AXCP engineered their structure with a 500M+ fully-diluted share count and a deliberate cap table to drive flow. With daily volumes often in the millions and over 25 million shares traded in May 2025, this junior has already cracked the liquidity code. The result? Capital on command. Financing is no longer a crisis—it’s a tool.
Converse: A Sleeping Giant in the Heart of Nevada [06:35–10:22]
The crown jewel in AXCP’s portfolio is the Converse Project; a 6-million-ounce (5.5moz M&I, 0.42moz INF) gold resource tucked between SSR Mining’s Marigold and i-80 Gold’s Lone Tree operations. It’s the second-largest undeveloped gold deposit in Nevada not owned by a major. Yet, due to neglect and outdated models, it’s trading at an enterprise value of around $4.50 per ounce. For context, peers with similar scale trade closer to $50. But this isn’t a story of past potential; AXCP is actively drilling a 5,000-meter program aimed at expanding the resource and unlocking higher-grade lower plate mineralization. Metallurgy, infrastructure, and jurisdiction all line up. What it lacks is attention; which AXCP is correcting in real time.
Rattlesnake Hills: Optionality in the Cowboy State [10:22–12:07]
While Converse is the anchor, Rattlesnake Hills in Wyoming is the torque. With over 100,000 meters of historical drilling and more than $40 million spent, the project never made it to resource stage—until AXCP. Now, a 1.04-million-ounce resource (600koz M&I, 400koz INF)with 60% in the indicated category gives the company a new arrow in its quiver. Wyoming’s mining-friendly policies and supportive permitting regime make it a jurisdiction worth watching. The geology is complex and fractured, but Blake sees opportunity in the chaos. Rattlesnake may not be the headline project, but in a rising gold market, its optionality could become extremely valuable.
Newton: Canada’s Forgotten Bulk-Tonnage Prize [12:07–13:33]
Newton Gold in British Columbia adds a third leg to AXCP’s portfolio; one that balances U.S. assets with Canadian bulk-tonnage upside. With an existing inferred resource of 850,000 ounces gold and 4.5 million ounces silver, Newton is already significant. But as Blake points out, historic drill data suggests the current resource only reflects approximately 20% of the anomaly. Located just 150km from Artemis’ Blackwater mine, Newton has the size, location, and infrastructure to grow into something much larger. And because of how AXCP is structured, they don’t need to drill it aggressively now—just hold it until the market catches up.
Structure Is Strategy—And AXCP Knows It [13:33–20:25]
Most juniors run into trouble when they try to scale: their cap tables get tight, dilution kicks in, and liquidity dries up. AXCP built a system to avoid that fate. The founders came in at $0.025 with long-dated escrow, while the IPO closed at $0.20 with five-year warrants. Monthly unlocks of 2.5%–7.5% ensure a steady drip of liquidity without destabilizing the stock. That’s how AXCP created volume before even launching a major marketing campaign. And now they’re deploying another tool most juniors dream of—a fully approved ATM (at-the-market) facility. That means AXCP can fund itself by selling stock into volume at strong prices, on its terms, without toxic placements or predatory financiers.
Challenges: Water Tables, Royalties, and Metallurgy [53:06+]
No project is without its issues. Converse has a water table to contend with, and Rattlesnake’s royalties could drag on economics if not managed. But these aren’t fatal flaws—they’re engineering and negotiation problems. Blake explains that recent metallurgy indicates recoveries of over 60%, including on sulfides that were once considered unworkable. On the royalty front, AXCP is already in active discussions with Triple Flag to restructure burdens, possibly by moving exposure to less central assets like Newton or Rattlesnake. It’s clear the team isn’t just holding ounces—they’re optimizing them.
Skin in the Game: Insider Buys Speak Louder Than News Releases [01:01:16+]
One of the most telling signals of management conviction is insider buying—and AXCP is setting the tone. Co-founder Tyron Breytenbach has personally bought over $400,000 in the open market. And he’s not alone. The team continues to buy aggressively, even after the stock has doubled since August 24th, 2024. While many juniors operate as option mills, AXCP’s leadership is investing their own cash, not just paper. When pressed by the panel, Mario made it simple: “We’re buying half a million in the market. Are the others?”
Media Muscle: $3.5M+ Spent—and Counting [01:04:43–01:18:48]
This is where AXCP separates itself. Most juniors raise $2 million, drill $1.5 million, and hope someone notices. AXCP committed over $3.5 million to marketing—with full disclosure on every deal. They’re not hiding it. They’re owning it. They understand that attention equals liquidity, and liquidity equals financing flexibility. Critics may call it promotion. AXCP calls it strategy. With big-volume days and millions of shares changing hands monthly, it’s clear the model is resonating. As Mario put it: “You can have the best rocks in the world—but if no one knows, you’re dead.”
Right Time, Right Structure, Right Market [01:20:00+]
When asked whether AXCP simply got lucky with timing, the answer was both yes and no. Yes, gold has broken out above $2,400. Yes, the macro backdrop is turbocharging interest in optionality plays. But the real story is that AXCP built for this moment when others were still clinging to broken models. Their structure, strategy, and liquidity engine weren’t created for a hot market—they were created to survive a cold one. Now that the sector is turning, AXCAP is already running. And it’s becoming harder to ignore.
The Roundtable Verdict: High Risk, High Reward—and Very Real [01:35:00+]
The panel didn’t pull punches. Some questioned valuation. Others flagged complexity. But nearly all acknowledged that AXCP is doing something unique—and potentially game-changing. This isn’t a “one drill hole to rule them all” story. It’s a structural trade on the mispricing of gold ounces in the ground, backed by liquidity, optionality, and media firepower. If you believe gold is going higher, and that the juniors will re-rate, AXCP isn’t just a passenger—it might be the driver.
Conclusion: From Strategy to Execution—AXCAP Is Just Getting Started
Axcap Ventures isn’t selling drill dreams or waving around assays. It’s selling a thesis—that in a broken sector, structure matters more than spin, and liquidity is the only real currency. With nearly 8 million ounces under control, millions of dollars in marketing fuel, and insiders still buying with conviction, AXCP is executing at a scale few juniors ever reach. Whether it becomes the next Seabridge or gets taken out before that, one thing is certain: this company knows exactly what it’s doing—and it’s moving fast.
