Bidding war erupts for Amazon´s most lucrative sellers

Investors looking for profitable brands on Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) are engaging in bid wars due to intense competition to find the next big thing. What do most investors focus on? The numerous small to medium-sized businesses that have been set up recently to sell goods on Amazon's marketplace. These companies are being bought out by aggregators who are Wall Street-backed c. These aggregators start with the belief that the teams of e-comm professionals at their disposal will help transform the products these companies sell into global brands. As of April 2020, more than 60 of these said aggregators have raised nearly $ 6 billion, according to a New York firm that analyzes and monitors the location known as Market Pulse. As the market gets hotter, their main goal is to find emerging companies with staying power and reasonable price tags. Foundry, a new entrant, recently announced that it has secured $ 100 million in funding from Monogram Capital Partners and LightBay Capital, both private equity firms based in Los Angeles, California. The company hopes their team, comprised of Hellen Vaid, a former e-comm executive at Walmart, and Stefan Haney, a former executive at Amazon, will stand out from the crowd when it comes to branding online at To help grow their business. Foundry aims to help sellers go beyond the Amazon marketplace to some of the other popular marketplaces in the world. They even want to help merchants get their products onto the shelves of physical retail stores, where much of the shopping is still going on. The Prosper Show, which takes place this week, will showcase how fierce competition is for emerging online brands. This is an annual get-together in Las Vegas, Nevada where Amazon retailers share some of the tricks they use. The fair typically attracts advertising firms and software companies that help online brands and sellers grow their sales. What's new about this year's show are penthouse parties and exhibition stands set up by aggregators who want to stand out and look different in a crowded market.
