The European Commission investigates Apple over anti-competitive behaviour

The European Commission has conducted its investigations into the anti-competitive behavior of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) and has now come to the rescue. The agency has issued a statement against the company to curb its anti-competitive behavior. The panel's former "Statement of Objections" acknowledges that Apple is fighting competition in the music streaming sector. The competing steaming app developers have had a tough time, and that's because Apple charged them exorbitant prices for streaming their music. Apple has to respond to the allegations within around 12 weeks. The European Commission has focused on both Apple Pay and the App Store. She started her work last summer. The Commission has major concerns about the way Apple has gone about using its in-app purchase mechanism. Steaming app developers are struggling to distribute their apps through Apple's platform, and the agency found that Apple is responsible for the challenges these competitors face. The commission also raised concerns about how Apple put restrictions that made it difficult for other app developers. The commission outlines that app developers lacked the freedom to show iPad and iPhone users who to turn to when they need alternative and cheaper shopping. In the statement of objections, Apple is attacked for its strict rules. The company was unfair to the developers of music streaming apps. Ap0ple has worked with a few terms that forced them to rely on their proprietary in-app purchase system whenever they wanted to get involved in the distribution of paid digital content. The app developers had to pay a 30 percent commission as a fee for the developers' subscriptions. Apple's "anti-steering regulations have long hurt app developers badly, and the community wants Apple to stop its unfair actions. It also urges Apple to stop its unfair actions that prevent developers from giving users the other purchase options." that they need to consider. The commission reveals that many streamlining providers have paid the 30% fee imposed by Apple. End users have suffered the consequences because the app developers have had to bear the costs. The app has given users the freedom to use subscriptions from other service providers. However, preventing the app developers from serving the end users with the other options makes Apple seem "unrealistic".
