ESG Investment boom offers great opportunities

Environmental, social and governance ("ESG") issues will drive up to $ 67 trillion in investment flows over the next decade, according to a study by Morgan Stanley. This estimate harnesses what is perhaps the greatest long-term force that will propel finance for the next decade. Essentially, the capital is to be passed on from the boomers to the millennials and zoomers, with an associated shift in sensitivities and thematic focuses. And this process is already in full swing. For the new market world, companies can attract capital by arguing that their activities are positive for the world. This can be ecological sustainability, the promise to have a positive impact on society, extremely transparent and responsible corporate governance or all three aspects. That's why global ESG assets under management have grown from $ 6 billion in 2015 to $ 150 billion in 2020 and will continue to skyrocket today and in the future. This is a factor that will have a significant impact on markets across multiple investment time horizons as it is important to both the supply of capital and the demand for more sustainable solutions to existing needs. Some of the key stocks to watch in this process are: Blink Charging Co (NASDAQ: BLNK), Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ: ENPH), Maison Luxe Inc (OTCMKTS: MASN), Stem Inc (NYSE: STEM), Invesco Solar ETF (NYSEARCA: TAN) and First Trust Global Wind Energy ETF (NYSEARCA: FAN). With that in mind, let's take a look at some interesting developments in this group. Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) describes itself as a global energy technology company that provides intelligent, easy-to-use solutions that manage solar power generation, storage and communication on one intelligent platform. The company has revolutionized the solar industry with its micro-inverter-based technology and produces a fully integrated solar-plus storage solution. Enphase has shipped more than 34 million microinverters and approximately 1.5 million Enphase-based systems have been used in more than 130 countries. Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) recently announced that Palomar Solar, a leader in the installation of solar energy in Southern California, has expanded its Enphase storage business and made valuable contributions to the long-standing collaboration between the companies in the home energy technology space as well as providing tests and feedback on new products. "We appreciate working closely with Enphase's business and engineering teams. I believe they have the best solar technology in the world and continue to work for the benefit of both companies," said Andy Anderson, owner and founder of Palomar Solar and Roofing. "To ensure we can deliver the maximum value to our homeowners, we have incorporated Enphase Storage into our full range of customer service. With Enphase Storage, we have seen a surge in demand from our customers." And the stock has done well over the past few days, up around 11% in that time. The stock has risen sharply last month, gaining around 24% over that time. Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) had sales of $ 301.8 million, according to the company's most recent quarterly report. This corresponds to a growth rate of 13.9% compared to the previous quarter for sales. In addition, the company has a strong balance sheet, with cash well in excess of current liabilities ($ 1.5 billion versus $ 344.5 million). Maison Luxe Inc. (OTCMKTS: MASN) is a particularly interesting addition to this list due to its affiliate Aether Diamonds, which has patented its special carbon-negative diamond production process. Aether Diamonds is the world's first and only manufacturer of carbon negative, laboratory grown diamonds. Aside from Aether's stake, MASN offers retail luxury items that are responsibly sourced and affordable. The company operates as a niche supplier of luxury goods, helping interested consumers to acquire rare luxury items that are otherwise not reliably available due to the nature of the luxury retail market.
